Ticket & Access Perks

Lounge access, premium entrances, and which tickets unlock extras.

  • The Courtside Club (rows A–C, floor level) includes all-inclusive catering and access to the Courtside Club lounge - the most premium in-arena experience Charlotte offers.
  • The Premium Club Level (sections 201–209 midcourt, 200 level) includes access to a dedicated climate-controlled lounge with full food and beverage service - a noticeable upgrade over general concessions.
  • Sections 104–108 (lower bowl midcourt) are the best non-premium value seats; midcourt lower bowl at Spectrum Center has some of the cleanest sightlines of any NBA arena due to its compact footprint.

Entry & Logistics

Fastest gates, bag policy, and when to arrive.

  • The main entrance is on Trade Street (north side). Gate 3 on 4th Street (west side) has shorter lines than the Trade Street gate for most evening games and is recommended for sections 101–115.
  • Bag policy: clear bags maximum 12"×6"×12"; small non-clear clutch purses up to 4.5"×6.5" permitted. Seat cushions with zippers or pockets are prohibited.
  • Arrive 40 minutes before tip for most games; Charlotte draws well for top opponents (Celtics, Lakers, Heat visits) so add 15–20 minutes for those.
🚇

Parking & Transit

Where to park, transit options, and postgame exit tips.

  • The Spectrum Center Parking Garage (101 S. Tryon St, connected via sky bridge) is the most convenient option at $20–$30; pre-purchase online via the Hornets app for guaranteed entry.
  • Charlotte's CATS Lynx Blue Line light rail stops at the Convention Center station (one block south of the arena) - the easiest transit option from South End, Dilworth, or NoDa.
  • Rideshare pickup is on 5th Street (north side); walking one block to 6th Street after the game significantly reduces pickup wait times as most riders queue on Trade Street.

Insider Tips

Pro fan knowledge you won't find on the official site.

  • The EpiCentre entertainment complex is directly adjacent to Spectrum Center - bars including Vida Cantina, Howl at the Moon, and Whisky River open into the arena's footprint and fill up 90 minutes before tip.
  • Charlotte's 7th Street Public Market (5-minute walk) is a legitimate pre-game food option with local vendors and far cheaper options than arena concessions.
  • The Hornets have one of the NBA's best alternate jersey programs - "buzz city" editions consistently rank among the most popular in the league, making team gear worth picking up at the arena shop.
