Ticket & Access Perks

Lounge access, premium entrances, and which tickets unlock extras.

  • The Toyota Club (sections 101–122, 100-level) includes access to the Toyota Club Lounge - all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverage service in a dedicated space behind the lower bowl.
  • Shell Energy Club seats (sections 201–220, 200-level midcourt) include access to the Shell Energy Club Lounge - full food and bar service, significantly shorter lines than main concessions.
  • Upper bowl sections 401–424 (400 level) are the most affordable; Toyota Center's 400 level has better sightlines than most NBA arenas due to its steep rake - a genuine value at sub-$30 secondary market pricing for non-marquee games.

Entry & Logistics

Fastest gates, bag policy, and when to arrive.

  • The main entrance is on Avenida de las Americas (west side). Gate 7 (north side, Crawford Street) is fastest for sections 101–112 lower bowl and draws less crowd than the main southwest entrance.
  • Bag policy: clear bags maximum 12"×6"×12"; small non-clear clutch purses up to 4.5"×6.5" permitted. Arrive with mobile tickets downloaded offline - Toyota Center's downtown Houston location occasionally has cellular congestion at peak entry.
  • Arrive 40 minutes before tip; for nationally televised games or visits from marquee opponents, 55–60 minutes is safer - the Avenida de las Americas approach concentrates foot traffic on one side of the building.
🚇

Parking & Transit

Where to park, transit options, and postgame exit tips.

  • METRORail Red Line stops at Toyota Center station directly in front of the arena on Avenida de las Americas - one of only a handful of NBA arenas with a dedicated light rail station at the front door.
  • Toyota Center garage (701 Avenida de las Americas) is $25 pre-purchased; GreenStreet and downtown Houston garages on Polk Street are $15–$20 and a 5-minute walk south.
  • Rideshare is extremely popular in Houston; the designated pickup zone is on Polk Street (south side) - on game nights, Uber and Lyft consistently outperform driving in terms of total travel time given downtown Houston traffic.

Insider Tips

Pro fan knowledge you won't find on the official site.

  • The METRORail stop at the arena's front door directly connects Toyota Center to the Texas Medical Center, NRG Stadium (Texans), and Houston Museum District without parking hassle.
  • Midtown Houston (10-minute METRORail ride or Uber) has some of Houston's best restaurant density: Peli Peli, Weights + Measures, Brasserie 19, and the entire Lower Westheimer corridor are worth the short trip for pre-game.
  • The Breakfast Klub (3711 Travis St) is a Houston institution known nationally for its wings and waffles - legendary enough that visiting players and teams regularly make the trip during road visits to Houston.
